Trim enabler for 10.6.8

Trim enabler for 10.6.8
June 23, 2011 Oskar

I’ve put together an version of TRIM Enabler for 10.6.8 – now using latest disk drivers.

I’ts untested though, and I’m not releasing it until I can see it’s working.

Hopefully soon.

For what it’s worth, I had already installed TRIM Support Enabler on 10.6.7, and when I updated to 10.6.8, About This Mac still reports that TRIM is enabled on my late-2010 MacBook Air.

KPOM: Apple SSD already has TRIM enabled by default in 10.6.7 and higher, you don’t need trim enabler. Trim enabler is for 3rd party SSD.

I installed the TRIM enabler, and after I rebooted, the Dock process was pretty much pinned at 100% of CPU time for a long while. Is this by any chance related to the overwriting of memory that is unused on the SSD?

I am curious to find out what blog platform you happen
to be working with? I’m having some small security issues with my latest site and I would like to find something more safeguarded. Do you have any solutions?
