Trim Enabler 3.2.3 Update

Trim Enabler 3.2.3 Update
July 4, 2014 Oskar

Trim Enabler 3.2.3 is out, with a couple of fixes.

  • Added a warning for Yosemite Developer Preview users. Before you enable Trim on Yosemite Developer Preview, you should read this and this. For casual users, I suggest waiting for the final release of Yosemite.
  • Fixed an issue with activating licenses on OS X Yosemite
  • Fixed an issue with code signing, Trim Enabler will now be correctly identified as software from a trusted developer
  • Added French translation

I just downloaded Trim Enabler to try it out. I did not see any Help file, so am not sure if I should open it and leave open all the time. Or is it enough to enable TE and then close it, e.g., the enabling is permanent until canceled?

      Hi Richard
Once Trim is enabled, it will work in the background of OS X. You can quit Trim Enabler or even delete it if you’d like.
However, system updates may reset Trim, so I suggest leaving Trim Enabler in your Application folder and turn on the setting: “Check for Trim support on boot”.

This means that if install Yosemite Beta1, I can use TRIM enabler 3.2.3 the same way as on Mavericks?
    No boot failures? Thanks.
